2014 Ride News :

Since the day after the initial RoughRiders200 we have been planning for the 2014 ride.   From meeting with new vendors to visiting with you the riders at events in Texas, Colorado and right here in New Mexico.   Here is what we have been working on:

  • Southern Route - Day 1, moving Holman Hill Aid Station down into Mora.
  • Northern Route - Day 2, adding an aid station between Questa and Red River, while moving Red River aid station to the top of Bobcat Pass.
  • Finish venue will change with new food vendor and rider area. We are excited with the new post ride menu possibilities and rider hang out area.
  • New bigger, clearer course signage and more of it (for those of you that like to leave early). We will continue to have RR200 personnel out on the course on time for the mass starters.
  • New route cards for each day with more detailed turn information.
  • New design for jersey, jacket & arm warmers.   With gloves and socks for 2014.
  • New finish award for riders that complete both days.
  • The Massage Therapy Team will working out your tired legs.
  • Same level of support with Aid Stations, SAG support & State Police motorcycle cops.
  • All at the same price as 2013: $80 for a single day, $150 for both days. Late fees apply after June 1, 2014.

Some of you may be wondering about a shorter distance option, especially for Day 2 - Sunday.   We thought long and hard about a shorter option and came to the conclusion it did not live up to the motto of "No Shortcuts, No Excuses". What we will do is post a suggested route to ride on Sunday, so you may get a ride in and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Northern Route.

We are excited for the 2014 RoughRiders200 ride, we hope you are also. Course information will be updated with pics as the days go by. So come on out to Angel Fire and find out what the first year riders are talking about. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@roughriders200.com
